Probably not. Very few, if any, lawn weed killers can distinguish between a desired turf grass species and a weed grass. Weed grasses are often annuals and usually controlled by using a pre-emergent in early spring.

The photo isn't very good it's actually yellow. I can seed the weed he sprayed in it. Its yellow all along the edges and spots in middle. It got like that 4 days after he sprayed the areas. The temp was 81 and sunny on the day it was sprayed. I saw the weeds starting to die 2 days after then the grass around turned yellow. He told me if it doesn't come back he will put seed down but it's frustrating that now I got to water it and look at it .

There are many post emergent crabgrass killers that shouldn't kill turf grasses. Assuming directions are properly followed. I would water it and give it a few days to see if new growth comes up from the ground.
