Hi Denise, so sorry to hear about your sans. The good news is your pup should turn out looking like the mother plant :) I hope you are able to save more of them. It is always heartbreaking when something like this happens.

I'm glad to hear it will evolve into the likeness of the mother plant! I have a Sans I got locally that had big fat leaves, but new leaves are the thin, long ones you see on that particular form of cylindrica. If I'd known new leaves wouldn't be fat and shorter, I probably would not have bought it!

Not entirely sure about all of what you are seeing, but thicker or round leaf species generally have juvenile leaf forms. You just need to wait until the roots are ready to send up adult leaves.
