Im having a new kitchen with midnight blue cabinets at the bottom and dove grey ones at the top. The flooring is a textured grey and beige porcelain tiles resembling natural stone. ( See picture below)

im at a loss as to what colour quartz i should go for the worktop(peninsula) and splash back . i like dekton Taga but is very expensive. I have looked at pictures of caeserstone noble grey and mont blanc but cant decide. any ideas any body please

have you already finalized the tile choice?

I ask because flooring is going to be around for 20+ years. You want something neutral that will allow you to change out designs. This one will not.

W/this floor you are stuck w/a solid color. Mont Blanc would be a huge mistake w/this flooring.

Could you plese post actual pictures of the tile and of the colors or your cabinets?

dark blue and gray sound dark, especially w/these cabinets.

what is the kitchen layout like? any pics?

Do you have a tile on hand that you can actually see in person?

what is the flooring that borders this kitchen?

    Thanks Beth,

I ’ll send you a photo from the catalogue so you can appreciate the colour of the cabinets. ( see below)

The issue is my husband wont have wooden flooring in the kitchen. so we initially decided on grey but then realised we have a wooden hanging rack at the top in front of Aga cooker and whilst in a few years we would want to do away with it but fit the time being it has been a lifesaver with 2 boys in school and needing to do constant laundry. So then we thought of the beige/grey floor tile as i wasnt quite sure how beige would look with the blue cabinets.

we originally had thought of white arabesque for the worktop / splasback but not quite sure how that would look.

Then choose a neutral 24x24 porcelain tile set on a stacked layout for minimal grout lines.

not necessarily this color, but this type and layout
    Arkim line:

    Marbella Griege, 24x24:

Comes in the Smokey Gray if you want something w/the blue in it^

Lines Griege ^ and this one:

    Linden White 18x36

    Cavatina line: blue/gray

These are all from Tilebar (IvyHill from Home depot and wayfair carry the same as tilebar, often under diff names)

This is what you want on your floor. Then you can choose whatever countertop you like. (just make sure the colors go with whatever floor tile your choose)

As for the backsplash tile, forget it right now. wait until everything else is installed THEN you decide on a tile splash. not before.
