Hi. Just incase this helps….The glass part is close to 18”. And from the silver/ back part down is about 27”. These felt really enormous to me when they were installed.

24” sounds huge but i’ll let others weigh in since these aren’t too heavy. i think appearance matters as the 18” ones above look smaller than they are, and 2 larger definitely sounds less fussy than 3..

my only comment woukd be too question whether you really want a large kitchen where soneone cooking and cleaning up are bumping butts. i would sbsolutely not want sink directly across from stove!

Cut out the shape in cardboard, id imagine there is some laying around the job site, use string and try that method. Here is my 2 cents, the two windows, and the hood are off center to the island, this maybe better with three pendants, because of the set up. Will be a better illusion if you will.

Also if you go with clear glass keep in mind it will be more looks than actual working light on the surface, as the light will spread around the room and not be directed down.

also the drawing differs from the rendering, the rendering shows and off center island, the drawing show it centered on the two windows.

How do you mock up the pictures? I want to play around with 2 pendants below - Gracie dome pendants - seeing the picture helps tremendously!

If you look at the above with the post showing 18 inch and three of them I think that is a good scale, 2 at 24 would not be that bad, its a look and a popular one. but sometimes in a world of symmetrical space and odd number feels better.

What color are your counters going to be?

Counters will be white. Backsplash and cabinets white except for a gray on the island. Hood - TBD as carpenter will make that on site.

24" is more of a chandelier size. These lights are 14" x 16 "h

It's an 8ft ceiling and the blue island is 100" long.

Wow! That’s a lot of pendants over an island. At this point I think I’m trying to figure out what size pendant I would need if I only want 2 pendants on 123”. Love the blue island color!

Unless you have lots of ceiling lights that could leave dark areas… since the island is usually the center of activity.. good lighting of the entire surface is needed

That is a lot of pendants on a low ceiling wow!

It is a lot of lights. We were back and forth about it. My customer blew up balloons and hung them from the ceiling and decided she really liked the bold size. Behind the island is a 48"sub zero and a 60" pantry so she liked having the larger size.

I really like how it turned out. It's bold and different. It's not for everyone though.
