Is this needle cast disease?

Pictured here is one of my Colorado spruce trees and my Black Hills Spruce tree. Wondering if I have some sick trees.

fyi;... there is a conifer forum ...

and yes it could be .. or maybe not... interior needles do not hang on forever... they are shed annually and cyclically .... hard to tell from these pix ...

in every post.. tell us where you are.. big city name ... we might know if it is endemic in your area ...

you could also contact your LOCAL COUNTY extension office for guidance ...

If you are located anywhere other than the Rocky mountain states, I would not consider it unusual at all for Picea pungens to develop a needlecast. In fact, one should consider one's self very lucky if it did not. Climate conditions pretty much anywhere else virtually guarantee it, eventually.
