I had a Larson Platinum Storm Door installed by Lowes yesterday. I didn't realize that there would be this trip hazard frame. How can I fix the threshold - transition so it will be safer and smooth? It looks like I can't just remove the part on the step since it is all one piece. I need a new threshold for the wooden yellow door, too. Is there one piece that will cover all? I chatted with Larson to see if they had any suggestions for the trip hazard and they did not. The rest of the door is fine. It looks like returning the door to Lowes will be a challenge and I will lose the installation cost. I would love to hear your expert suggestions. Thank you in advance.
