And to add to what Ken said, the worst is seeing a picture of that same hoya that takes forever to grow for you growing like a weed for someone else. There's no justice in plant care.

Great sunlight. Fertilizers and the best spot in the house.

Maybe that’s why this particular one cost over 50 bucks for cutting and is generally expensive

I have a wayettii that has only out out 5 new leaves in 3 yrs- like you said Mike, great light, stays moist, regular fertilizer, plenty of humidity in winter…🤷‍♀️

i rooted 1 small stem of Hoya kerrii with 3 leaves and it stayed like that for 2.5 years..! i knew it was very slow, but not like that! finally a big event: 2 new leaves and something strange near tip: may be even a peduncle?! not sure...

They are always slow for me. Be nice to Hoya leaves because they can be on the plant for many years. This plant does not seem to grow really at all, but maybe replaces a leaf occasionally and blooms pretty well most years. I think I've had it for around 5 yrs. I'm glad it grows so slowly. Some vines grow so fast, I got tired of chasing them and trimming them and let some go astray from the herd. If I had to trim Hoya often I would like it less because that's just another opportunity to get a rash from the latex sap. Almost all of my houseplants are ready for revenge if I cut into them.
