Yes. Top down bottom up cordless is awesome. You can let light in at the top if you only want the shades for privacy.

I go without window shades whenever practical. If I do shades, I prefer inset.

Here if you keep the windows uncovered most of the time, you could do a drapery on the wall in front of the window if you wanted to. Not sure how to treat the wall end but I’m sure there is a way.

i was thinking the same! it's a large corner window, so i was gonna get cellular shades and maybe doing swagging scarves at the top or curtains staying open at the sides

Swag scarves are a dated look that used to be for formal rooms, which I don't think yours is. You don't have room in that corner for a proper stack back of drapery.

We've struggled with Hunter Douglas TD/BU, especially on our bigger windows. Finally gave up and did two separate BU only -- at their cost because they kept breaking. If you don't think you really need the top down feature, avoid it.

Curtains would be easier to open and close than four shades in this space. So if you use this window a lot, maybe curtains would be better.

We just installed one Graber cellular shade for large bay window. When we met with the representative he gave various options and I knew doing separate shades would drive me nuts, if I couldn’t get all shades level. Mine only go top down and are cordless.
