I thought the same thing when I saw the video. I'm going to cut some strips from a collection of batiks I have.

And here is another idea. I thought I might use a batik for the background and make each row of chain the same color.

Here it is. I was having tension problems, thought I had it fixed but I can see that I will have to pick out a couple of rows. Drat!

I don’t think the KF fabrics will work. I just cut two blocks worth and because the fabrics are so wild, there is no consistent design as you would get in a regular fabric. Hard to say this is a blue block or a red block, just a mush of colours. I suppose it really might work but I don’t want to chance it.

Now to find some nice FQ’s that play nicely together.
