Window Colour advice needed

Looking to update the windows to a new colour. Any recommendations or examples for inspiration? I am open to updating the gutters and soffits as well for an updated exterior aesthetic.

I think the biggest area for improvement is the garage door color. The grey clashes with the brick and the roof color. It may have been selected based on the walkway, but it's next to the brick not the walk. I'd select a color from the brick, or look into a new color for the trim, garage and front door. Sagey green would work, and there are other choices.

Then landscape clean up. Trimming overgrown trees and shrubs on both sides, weed , edge and clean up the walkway and stone mulch, and get some companions for the lonely hosta.

Very nice home! Everyone has an opinion and they are all valid. What I would do is black and gray trim.

I don't have the software but envision this: The door is black. The garage stays the same. The same gray on the garage for the windows and soffits. I like the black trim on the soffits. Black and gray soffits. Black gutters and downspouts

I Googled 'red brick house with black and gray trim' for images and it looks nice to me!

The choice for me would be black for both but it would be nice if that garage door had some windows in it .

I think the problem with the garage door is that the gray is too blue. You need a gray that leans green. The brown windows you have now actually look good with your brick. So bring home some samples of the black and their bronze (from whichever manufacturer you're using). It won't be as brown as what you have. For me the black would be too severe, but you'll have to see what you like.

The brown trim and windows looks great with the brick. The garage door clashes; I'd paint it. Frankly, the house looks quite up-to-date to me. The soffits are not a feature and not very visible, keep them as it.

Here's the thing, black windows aren't going to make much of a difference compared to dark brown. White or cream would be too big of a contrast. Possibly, you could change the windows for ones without muntins, but I expect the change wouldn't be worth the cost.

Be pretty careful about looking at pictures of other houses; subtle differences in the color of bricks can mean what looks great on an inspo pic could look worse on your house. As you can see on your house, gray (very trendy now) as in the garage door is not a good match for the brick, the brown of the windows and trim is.

Dark windows will go much better with your roof and brick than black windows. Everything you have lends itself towards warm and black windows are start and cold, a more modern feel.

Votre maison est très belle comme cela mais j'ai vu en Normandie des maisons avec des encadrements de fenêtre bleu nuit ou bleu klein et c'est superbe.

Thank you all so much. Our windows are 50+ years old and need replacing either way. I like many of these ideas. I’m open to any further comments.

Do you know what style / manufacturer window you want to go with on replacement?

I thought you were painting only, but if replacing you can change more than just trim color.

You could do casement windows, for instance.

My house has windows that are a soft bronze color which blends well with most everything.

I think bronze (more like the gutters/downspouts) for the new windows and soffits will be richer than the current faded brown or cream. Increase the size of the exterior lights. They should be 1/3 of the front door's height and in a contemporary style; maybe bronze too. The garage doors don't appear to be contemporary enough for the window style, if you're going for the same look the windows have now. I'm not a fan of the walk and garage door color, overgrown landscaping and rickety fence. Now's the time to pull the landscaping out and get a local pro to help you plan both new fall and spring plantings to upgrade the curb appeal.
