Pump installation?

I'm attempting to make something like this - to be used as swimming pool/pond for three labs. Diameter will be approximately 8 to 9 feet, with depth of approximately 30 inches.
Totally inexperienced with this stuff and I'm trying to figure out best spot to place pump/skimmer. Also looking to see if anyone has ideas on how to disguise skimmer box. Appreciate advice. Thanks.
