windows always good option for air flow and light. i had my bed against a window (headboard designed with rails) - loved the air coming in while in bed and my cat liked the access to the open sill. ;)

With an 8’ window and french doors, not sure if another window is needed in regards to light. I’d also forego sealing door (if useful) and suggest placing bed on the longer wall. Can that window be altered? The $4,000 saving on door can go a long way.

How does it balance with the rest of the home? How does it balance with the exterior? But typically windows are a good thing, even in a bedroom.

South windows may let in a lot of heat, if that is a consideration. If funds aren't a big consideration, I like Maureen's last pic above (a row of short windows installed high in the wall).

What I'd do is shut and lock the door and install drapery high, all along the wall to cover the door and look balanced.

If you have two walls with windows that should suffice. Windows are nice, but you need places to put furniture. Do you need two exterior doors into a bedroom?

Have you priced out the exterior work that will need doing if you close off the door. I think you have enough windows in the space Do a wall of drapes on that wall and put the bed there no cost at all for renos
