Some want the private area at the 'end' of the space, but that's where your sliding doors are...? Do you want your bed around there -- or in the middle?

Twin/ twin XL /or full daybeds are for daytime seating also.

daybed allows you to convert a bedroom into a living space and vice versa. It's a bedframe that fits standard US twin mattress but thanks to the spindle back board and arm rests this solid wood frame also looks and functions like a sofa. The decorative spindles and tapered front legs imbue a chic mid-century modern appeal into any room. Solid wood slats support the mattress.

Well, I would set up dining in the kitchen area. You could do a table that could double as an island if you need more work space. Hard to know how to arrange the bedroom without seeing pics of the actual space, but I'd probably put the head of the bed on the window wall or move it down toward the window wall as far as possible. I would probably want a room divider/bookcase type piece of furniture dividing the bedroom from the living area, or sliding floor to ceiling doors or fabric panels to close off the bedroom area. Then figure out how much room you have for living room furniture and plan/arrange accordingly.

It really depends on the space and your needs..do you need a desk? Is there enough light if you close off the bedroom area? How many people do you need to seat, etc. Pics of the actual space would really help. Are you renting or purchasing?

The easy answer is a murphy bed or one of the ideas above . I would not use any kind of divider to take up space Seems like a huge waste of space in the kitchen on the right maybe a table there .

First thing is that you define your needs. Work from home, storage, tv viewing, size of dining table, bed preference, multifunctional pieces, importance of separation, etc.

I’d place bed as far down as you can and you can add a practical storage divider or a large surface that can double time as a side table for both bed and couch or even a desk.

The 9ft I think you have at end of kitchen counter could be used for storage/tv with couch opposite.

I’d use what seems like a large space in kitchen for your dining and decide type and size of table to suit space and your requirements.

Only buy essentials until you figure the space out. Good luck and enjoy!

Get rid of one of the nightstands, place the bed close to the corner, add a room divider between the bedroom area and living area, move the table into the kitchen - can use one that is larger than the current one. Decide on shape/size and placement after you find a small sofa and a single chair or 3 chairs. Build in storage and a space for the TV nest to the kitchen

Pick small sofa, chairs and coffee table.

9' wall in the middle of apartment could have tv and maybe a desk. Private bed with unit or art screen... just thought of sunlight coming from sliders -- how to let the maximum through into middle and the kitchen area?
