Do Senecio seedlings look like this?

I ordered Senecio tamoides seeds online and two just sprouted. The thing is, they have a grass-like/monocot formation since they're growing in a straight "line". I'm pretty sure Asteraceae as eudicots will sprout with two little leaves. But maybe that isn't the case for all dicots?

did you sterilize your media before use.. to insure there wasnt rogue seed in such??? .. once i stated do that. much of the mysterious plants stopped showing up in my seedlings ....

@ken_adrian Adrian MI cold Z5 I had no idea about sterilizing beforehand. Not something I was aware of.

Unfortunately, the images don't show any seedlings of S. tamoides ☹

But my question is, can eudicots look like this as seedlings? Because I'm certain that this a monocot characteristic.

Afaik eudicots always produce two cotyledons, by definition.
