I would move the end table next to the TV to the opposite side of the sofa.

Not sure what your question is. If it's about the fireplace wall, we need a better picture of it.

I should say. I want to purchase new furniture and have it look nice. The t.v. is very important to my husband. I hate his recliner.

What furniture arrangement would work best. purchasing new.

Please post straight on shot of fireplace wall.

You’ve done such a great job so far! I love all your touches, very artistic! I agree with at 612 that the end table next to the TV should be on the opposite side of the sofa. Otherwise, if your husband loves his recliner, and the TV is very important, I would leave everything as is. I don’t like a TV over the fireplace. It’s always too high, and takes attention away from the fireplace. A photo of the area around your husbands chair, looking behind it, would be helpful, just to make sure I’m not completely off base.

A detailed floorplan with dimensions would be required to give you valuable suggestions especially if you're planning on buying new furniture for this room.
