What are you trying to ask with the 2 very different choices for exteriors/ where do you live/ What is your style ?IMO neither of those looks work with your windows with the grids . That is a cottage look on that house . Maybe explain the look you want , is it modern that you are going for ?

I think a dark color on the house will shrink it. I like what you have now. Paint the garage door the same color as the roof and paint the front door white... add width to your front walk with pavers, then the white stairs leading up to a white door will add a lot of charm to your house.

I like your color idea… but for it to work .. you need to add the “natural wood” contrast elements…creatively…probably cover steps and porch with natural wood…as well

It depends on whether you have a need ….or a budget ….to add outdoor seating in the front of the house… landscaping is definitely a good investment for curb appeal

I would consider Juliana’s suggestions. I would keep the siding color light due to the long, low-ish roofline. Your current siding color works nicely with the roof color. Beef up the window trim and pick a color you like for the door. White would be nice or something like one of these.

If you like green, I think this Stillwater from SW is so nice.

Does anyone have a fresh light paint color for the siding and trim that you would suggest, that matches better with our roof line? I'm re thinking the dark blue paint color that we like -- I just don't think it works for our style of home.

Ideally we want to swap in a wood door -- but we will paint our front door for now to keep in budget. I like the route of painting the door teal

You could copy this one too. Notice the cedar/redwood slatted wood fencing off to the side. replace your dog ear fence posts. Here's your black railing and copper accent. love the garge too

you have similar plants in your landscaping. copy this front yard. notice the dark blue/gray on the upper portion of the home along w/the wood door. on yours you could do your lower siding in a similar gray color like this stone.

If you want more of the gray blues

you could do the garage door in more of a peacock or navy blue, white stucco, and a third color for the lower siding portion

I like a darker color for the siding portion and trim. maybe go a bit more mcm

If you did the dark color on the lower siding, a bold door, mcm address, lights, you'd get this type of look

Notice that the garage door makes a huge impact on curb appeal. this landscaping is more of a xeriscape, which I'm sure you could do.

consider replacing your bottom siding pieces w/composite wood siding for a more modern look

We've totally changed our mind. Picking a paint is hard! This is the new direction I like -- and think I want to mirror the same landscaping and low fence in the front yard. We will relocate our big aloes to accommodate new landscaping. The roof color is similar, so I think this may work?

My only change - is I would like maybe a light blue front door.

If you decide to go with white, I would paint the trim around windows and door in a gray similar to the roof. The bright white will certainly work, and makes a great background for plants and fencing.

The roof is a fairly neutral tone, so there are lots of grays, gray-blues, blues, gray- greens, that would look good with it.

I liked your original blues, although I would have gone with the lighter blue for the house body (unlike Celery's rendition. Your house is a style that can carry off something a little different in color, I think.

Whatever you do, please don't stay with the current color or similar. It is just dull! IMO of course.
