Yes indeed. It is not okay on any level. Florence Shaw and Kevin Vaughn the two best known that he wronged and the Tompkins. I hope Kevin does not see this.

obvious bias, it would have been better to never mention the book let alone promote it.

...and its really old. more thorough and up to date books have been written. ...as well as online sources that are way beyond that information.

I would agre with Babka, peren Peren, and hosta_maker. I did take the time to read the HL article on him……unbelieveable! I would never by the book. Is it possible that some of the issues with Aden are perhaps addressed in a forward??????

I have waited a couple weeks for a reply from the editor of the AHS e-newsletter, and have not received the courtesy of a reply to explain this MAJOR oversight. I know that many (or all?) of these people are volunteers, but that doesn't change the responsibility for what they produce.

I am glad I am no longer a member of the American Hosta Society. This is no way to uphold the integrity and importance of what once was once a very informative place to learn about Hostas, and insure their propagation.
