My trip to rehab got delayed two days….. bed space and a low blood count.

I believe I will be going home late tuesday. Still have considerable pain and hoping for a good nights rest. have a bulky vest to wear to keep my spine straight. This surgery isnt for whimps. finally got my head in the right place to communicate with you all. Still have family I havent spoken to.

Consider us your extended flower family. I've been wondering how it went at rehab. Apparently it hasn't gone well. I hope that you do indeed get to go home next Tuesday so you can at least get an uninterrupted nights sleep. My prayers go with you as you recover.................Maryl

Sherry, I jjust saw this post……I am asuming you had back surgery? Fusion? I understand completely as I have been through 3 spinal fusions myself, 2 lower back 15 years apart and one in the neck as well. Did doctors harvest your hip bone or was a cadaver bone used? My worst pain was where they harvested the hip bone, but I remember hating wearing that back brace everywhere for 3 months! And yes, rehabbing is very difficult. You are in my thoughts.

Home from the hospital yesterday. Im doing better but low stamina. gotta wear that bulky vest for three months. Its hard not being able to do the small things I always do.

Hooray! You made it home and hopefully to a good nights sleep. The vest I am sure is uncomfortable and I'm sorry you have to go through all this. We just pray the problem is fixed so that next year you can have a much better gardening season............Maryl
