super huge transplants .. its not unusual to see transportation and handling damage up to two years after they have need hoiked cross country to your yard ...

one way to avoid such.. is to buy 2 foot max trees that are easier to deal with all around ..

both are perfectly sited for they size they are today.. whats the plan when they are twice as big in all dimensions...

now that all the heat of summer is gone.. you probably wont need to water again until late next spring.. dig a few small holes in late nov.. to make sure there is moisture at root depth.. otherwise.. they ought to be fine .. trees do not need to be constantly wet ...

these huge transplants will be stressed thru at least next year.. NEVER fert stressed plants .. they are stressed.. not hungry ..

next year.. water if you have drought in july or august.. otherwise.. they should be near free range .. definitely free range in the third year ...

Might be Leucostoma kunzei. In Maryland every spruce seems to get it. It's too humid in the mid atlantic for them. Look for white or light blue spots on the stems. If that's what it is, it will eventually kill the trees if untreated. Spraying with fungicide may delay or prevent it, but you'll have to do it frequently.
