The rails on the top drawer would have been better if they had been done a bit thinner to allow enough clearance for your finger once you add a pull.

Hardware size and placement is quite subjective! There are some rules of thumb, but they are just a starting point, like pulls should be 1/3 the width of a drawer, so a 30" wide drawer should have a 10" pull. Some people go longer and some go shorter.

I ordered many of my pulls/knobs from TopKnobs and they offer discounted prices for samples. I suggest you order a few different designs and sizes to help you decide.

Top drawer with slightly narrower rail to allow enough clearance once the pulls are installed. I know it is too late for you to change that, but it might help someone else who hasn't ordered their cabinets yet.

I have found cup pulls really do save wear and tear on the lower cabinets and drawers. As chi spa noted above its really subjective Re size of hardware.

I use painter tape to figure out size and IMO pulls are what i use and in sizes proprtionate to the size of the drawer or cabinet they also do not all have to installed in the same direction. This a great inspo pic to show what I mean. I aslo never use 2 of anything on a wide drawer it makes it awkward to open the drawer too.
