Usually called cabinet pulls! I prefer the smaller one.

Are you doing the same one on the drawers? Most people don't like the pulls with the open ends, because there is a good chance of catching pockets and other clothing parts on them, leading to ripped clothing, or worse, causing you to trip and drop hot food dishes on a person and/or the floor.

Not a pro, but I like the smaller one better too. I have similar style hardware in my rental home kitchen and baths now. They are even smaller than your smaller one. Surprisingly, I’ve only caught my clothes, etc, a couple times. Maybe because mine are smaller they don’t stick out so much? I certainly thought I’d be catching all the time. I get caught more often on my home door levers.

Small ones - mount horizontal.

Use ONE large one mounted horizontally in location you will hang dish towel.
