sunroom/office design

Wondering if there is anything to do design wise here that could be better. Can desk be nice so it’s faceing towards the room or would that be cluttered? Is there anything else to be done? Thanks!

It doesn't look like the primary purpose of this room is as an office. I wouldn't place the desk such that it is an obstacle when you walk into the room. To me it looks like it's fine where it is. I think the room could use some art because right now it's mostly just white and gray.

The room is already cluttered. Remove everything from the room except the furniture you want to keep and then post pictures. You'll get much more informed advice.

It might work better having the desk facing the wall to the left of the desk, unless you want to move the desk to the corner where the sofa is, but it looks like you have the sofa facing a small TV.

As someone suggested, do a decluttering before you start on this project so you only have what's absolutely needed in both the office area and sofa/armoire section. Everyone needs more desk space, and here's how to add it:

--run a shelf/desktop all the way across the wall under the casement window on the left the same depth as your desk so you have two right angles where the shelf and desk meet. (You can get an unfinished shelf at big box store, stain it, and order legs from Etsy.)

Place your computer screen and keyboard diagonally where desk and shelf meet so the screen doesn't block the window. This will give you light streaming from the casement a nd full window, something that's so important when we work. Put art work and an attractive bulletin board below the casement window or a small shelf below the casement for some plants!

This orientation, shelf to left, computer in corner, window on right angle wall.

The rest of the room is the lounge area, I gather. If you ne
ed a file cabinet, get an attractive one to use as a side table next to the sofa.

And I do work from home permanently!

I work from home too and I like my desk out of sight in my off hours, so I would move your desk out of the doorway. Also, if you do video meetings, a nice background behind me makes me feel more comfortable showing strangers my home.

Seems like your ceiling light need to be updated, maybe you can consider an option with LED light installation, for example.
