Some moronic architect specified marble floor tiles for the men's room in a Vegas casino I visited. The floor around the urinals was disgusting.

Assuming you are not interested in a commerical application (really Joe?, a little over the top). You can search for this easily here on Houzz and other sites. We install plenty of marble in bathrooms but with the understanding that it needs to be maintained. PH neutral cleaners are important. No acidic cleaners at all. Many of our clients are rather particular about thier maintenance and have been enjoying thier luxury marble floors for decades. Some have a stone maintenance specialist come in every 5-10 years and restore it if they were less particular. It completely depends on your tolerance and the use it will get. We do recommend, in addition to PH neutral cleaners for the floor (like MB Stone & More or Laticrete Stonetech, Tile & Stone Cleaner) the non acidic toilet bowl cleaner, "Majestic". Great stuff.

Personally, I wouldn't use marble tiles on the floor of a bathroom. As a guy I can tell you: 1) My aim is not always perfect, and 2) urine is often acidic, which can cause etching.

If you like the look of marble, install a porcelain lookalike.

I didn’t like the look of marble look alike porcelain matte tiles but polished look luxurious. Ended up getting those for shower wall .

Many people feel they are too busy to deal with the maintenance of marble. But really, if the room is properly set by a qualified tile technician, there is no more maintenance with marble than with a porcelain tile. You need a pH balanced cleaner, and to seal it every year or two, and that is it. Marble would not be a first choice for a kids bath, or a teen heavy into experimenting with hair color and makeup. But for an adult who expects to provide reasonable care for nice things, it is a bit of luxury to walk into every day!

Marble comes as polished, honed, and leathered options. Honed is perfect for a bathroom floor. Honed mosaics are perfect for a shower floor. Even polished smaller mosaics, like a traditional basketweave or hex, are suitable for a bath lobby floor, as the grout lines provide additional traction.

My master bath is honed marble and I don't do anything special for it. Floors, partial walls and shower. 4 years in the house so far and it still looks beautiful. I chose real marble because I don't mind dings, etching etc. After all marble is used in public places all the time and gains wonderful character. Also the porcelain marble lacks the depth that a real marble lacks.

To the OP, I hope you're not thinking of mixing the fake porcelain marble with real marble. The two will never look good together.

@artimeis : yes there are brushed marble tiles that are good to use on bathroom floor , not shower ! We used brushed marble on bathroom floor and it looks beautiful. It’s a small bathroom so not worried much. I am thinking of using the same for master bathroom .

Marble tiles , contractor sealed the tiles . Looks luxurious. Just recently done so only time would tell how it holds up with regular use and cleaning, etc.

There are plenty of options in porcelain tiles with a marble look. Easier to maintain than marble.

I have marble tile floors in bathroom including the shower floors.

I use the products recommended by @Dragonfly Tile & Stone Works, Inc. and they still look great - no staining or visible deterioration when viewed "normally". I also have a marble counter in the bathroom.

I don't have any cleaning products that would be harmful including a toilet bowl cleaner that is safe for marble as well as the surface of my Toto toilet.

Maybe I have lived with males who have decent eyesight and normal hand eye coordination but urine sprayed outside of the actual bowl has never been anything I have dealt with. I would assume that it is a skill acquired relatively soon after toilet training but I don't think I would have marble floors in a bathroom used by young kids anyway. Teenage girls are also careless but with other stuff like nail polish and hot hair appliances or strange dyes.

I considered fake stuff like Dekton or quartz but nothing was as intrinsically beautiful as real stone.

My floors have been in use for four years - still look good. At such time as they appear ragged, they would be relatively easily restored by a professional company. My condo has marble in the common areas and every few years they have a professional polish them and clean the grout and they look as good as new - they are about 30 years old at this point.

My parents are very neat/clean. They remodeled their first bathroom in 1980 and my mother picked a beautiful marble. She loved it ... for about 5 minutes ... until my father used the toilet, a drop splashed out and etched the marble. She spent the next 20 years fighting that floor! They never used a natural marble in any of their bathrooms after that.

Are marble tiles easy to maintain/ clean on Bathroom floor ? Do they stain easily? What type of cleaner must be used for Marble tiles ?

Easy enough to clean, but very easy to stain -- do a search on this website and see how many people complain about stained marble, darkening marble, etc. It only takes one time for someone to use the wrong cleaner, and your expensive stone is shot.
