Who else can tool around town this weekend...and get some pix to share?

I don’t drive and anyway driving is the worst way to see my town. But I walk round almost every day. Hardly any trees have coloured up yet.

It snowed yesterday flora... ridiculously early...it was gone in minutes.... Gotta love z5 vs z8\9...

Glad I don't have to walk 5 miles to the market...no bus service in rural MICHIGAN..

We had frost on roofs here this morning but no ground frost or snow yet...! Next week we're planning to go to the RBG (Royal Botanical Gardens) Rock Garden in hopes of finding good Fall color on trees. If we do, I'll post pictures but I doubt it'll be as colorful there as in your town...

I don't drive either (but I do have a bicycle). There is talk of congestion charges in my town (which is woefully crowded but mostly because no-one can afford to live there anymore. Many people have to live outside town so there is a vast amount of commuting to and fro from the villages in the fens.

There are some absolutely glorious trees and green spaces though, often hundreds of years old...and often in the most surprising places. My local 8acrte wild cemetary has a beautiful deodar, many pines and, mkx3, a handful of the most gorgeous liriodendrons which look fabulous at the minute (my current favourite autumn colour, alongside sorbus ulleungensis 'Olympic Flame').

I'm so pleasantly surprised at how glorious the colors are this year. After this summer's drought I didn't expect much.

Ken I was hoping this post was going to be about the guy with the spring bulbs. Would be interesting to see his fall garden!

Gorgeous fall colors! I've not seen a lot of red or oranges this year, mostly yellows. One of my huge maples was a flamin' orange but I got to enjoy it in its fully glory for only a couple days before the wind and rain beat it down.
