Beautiful photo! Some teas, like 'Mme. Lambard' really are at their best in autumn around here, when the air is often drier and cooler (multiple days of 116F in a row did NO ONE any good this past summer, and last spring was damp, though not rainy of course, making blooms spotty, brown-edged,and balled -- and, oh, the PM, which spring temperature variances are perfect for generating). My ML is looking wonderful now, too, covered in flowers. Similarly, 'Niles Cochet' (that one is great clear into January), 'Souvenir de Pierre Notting', 'Duchesse de Brabant', and 'Lady Roberts' are also at their finest now, both foliage- and flower-wise. 'Le Pactole' is a tea that looks good all year, no matter what, but is working up a spectacular flush for this fall, too.

Very true. 'Mme. Lambard' is often mildewy in the summer, but is a disease resistant workhorse in Fall and Winter.

Mine is long gone, but I don't remember her ever having mildew, and we do have foggy/misty days and nights in the spring, although not as much now due to global warming. Mme. Lambard was not very near any other roses and had very good air flow so that might have made a difference.

Mine never has mildew here either. It is a wonderful rose. Each location is unique.
