Nice, Sheila, and I'm glad you have roses to enjoy. We had a fair amount of bloom earlier this month, but, although temperatures are still favorable, the drought has caught up again and flowering has largely stopped. There is rain in the forecast!! I hope we're not, as so often before, disappointed when the days arrive!

Absolutely beautiful Sheila. I particularly liked Souv. du Pierre Notting. The rain has begun in earnest here, so our long and beautiful fall flush has come to an end. So nice to see you roses still putting on a show.

We're getting snow every day (but 2) for the next 9 days. LOL

At least I get to see wonderful roses here!

Celine Forestier is the epitome of a graceful old fashioned yellow rose, i looked up all the details on it. You have such a great sampling of iconic roses. It must be exhilarating to walk through your yard looking out at the combination of your roses and treed landscape. you are so blessed !

Sheila, can you give me some more details about Celine? How do you think she is size wise compared to Mrs BR Cant? What do you think of the fragrance? Is it one of the teas that has to have a ton of heat or will it make do with a little less?

What I love most is seeing your roses against the backdrop of your beautiful trees and that wonderful wall. The roses are all lovely but my favorites are Celine Forestiere and Evelyn. I must confess to a slight prejudice against red roses of any class, although a think the reddish tea roses are still prettier than the more strident hybrid teas or floribundas. I suppose the gorgeous apricot shading on Celine is due to the strong sun since you don't usually see this color in cooler climates.

Oursteelers, Vintage called Celine a Tea-Noisette for what it is worth. I think the apricot coloring this Fall is probably from the heat. Mine is larger than my Mrs. B.R.Cants (2).

I think the plant is a heat lover.

The fragrance is wonderful. That might be Celine's strongest suit.

Berry, she may not work in your zone but she just looked so fluffy this Fall I agree.

Thank you for sharing your pictures, Sheila! Your roses are so lovely, I so enjoy seeing everyone's pictures on here, it gives me hope for what my little baby roses could grow into! I bought a Julia Child on a whim at my local hardware store on clearance, and she is the only one still blooming like crazy right now even as it storms outside.

The red flowered bush is Papa Gontier Tea rose, Deborah.

The new Tea foliage is also red. Also Madame Lombard is above G. Nabonnand too.

Looking at the tree/shrub -- not rose -- with the dramatic foliage.

I get it now, Deborah. My labels were closer to the rose below (Edith Perry) than the ones I was naming. That is a maple tree with fall colors. Another maple in that area has not turned color yet.
