I think a sectional is best with the corner fireplace.

Where will you sit when you watch TV?

Are you trying to have the space be a kitchen, dining room & family room? Will there be a TV? Have you tried the table under the chandelier? LOVE your rug.

NO sectional. They take up too much space and usually have to stay in one position. How many will sit there? I think I might just do 3 comfy chairs

We had a sectional but it was too big. this room is so akward with a path to the backdoor, angled fireplace and kitchen bar.

yes. that chandelier needs a table under it or remove it

Please just DON"T put the TV above the fireplace and help end this terrible trend.

The dining set is taking up all the space in this room. Put in under the chandelier where it belongs. Place the TV on a stand on the wall to the right of the fireplace. It should be easy at that point to have a seating arrangement facing both the fireplace and the TV to enjoy both at once. The center of the TV should be a few inches higher than eye level when seated.

Bring the sectional back in and have one side face the door and one side face the TV wall. Yes you will have to walk around it but so what? It's not like anyone has to go in and out that door constantly all day long.
