I can't even see the path to your front door. Typically a post light at the start of the path then other low landscape lighting (accent lights, spot lights, step lights) as needed to light the path

There are so many options: placement, quantity, solar, electric, walkway, entrance, and budget. On-line articles will help you define needs and how to resolve. If not already addressed, the walkway/entrance would be my priority. The rest is really decorative.

Do you have landscape lights? You can illuminate plants and pathways. They are also less glaring if you choose to leave them on overnight. We had our landscape lights separated into 2 circuits. The backyard ones stayed on all night to illuminate the fence/plants so I could see any critters that might be in the yard before I let my dogs out.

Before I'd try to accent anything with lighting, I'd work on the haphazard plantings so you'd have something worth illuminating. The severely-pruned shrubs accentuate the awkward angle of the lot and detract from the home. Can you remove the ones that hide the beautiful porch and the ones with the severe slant at the steps as starters? You can see how the grass works so much better on the edge of the wall than the rigid shrubs.

While an exterior lighting plan is important, we all need to consider the environmental impact of whatever lighting system we choose for our homes. Light pollution is a major problem as is the impact of exterior lighting on the lives of migratory birds.

To start light the walkway to the front door then see if you want more . I cannot even see how to get to the front door so maybe a pic of that area. I like some plants with lighting to show them off but too much is just too much outdoor lighting

What is the budget? Where are the current lights? Can we see a picture of the walkway and the garage?

Perhaps step lights could be embedded in the stairs (photo 2) or...

...path lights could be installed next to them (photo 2).

Pathlights could be installed next to the brick path that leads from the street to the house (photo 3).

Is the path that runs parallel to the street (photo 4) used at night? If not, don't illuminate it.

But the lantern at the left is not dark-sky compliant as it's not shaded and illuminates areas beyond the porch.

I agree that landscsping is the priority, Where the path squiggles gratuitously you need to plant something for it to be squiggling around. i would fill the area between the path and retaining wall with shrubs to concesl it. Lights under the porch roof will not interfere with the sky. All lighting should cast light fown, not up or out.
