Hi all, first time apartment owner, and I've planned an Ikea kitchen remodel. One of my remodel priorities is making a kitchen that's easy to clean. Any general tips appreciated.

And a more specific question: I've always lived in city apartments and have had issues with mice and cockroaches. I hate that you can't get under cabinets to clean, and I see that removable toe kicks (saw some hacks for velcroing or clipping them on) or no toe kicks are a thing. My partner argues that having no toe kick would be messier. I just think over the years pests can get in there and die and it's good to be able to clean. Any thoughts?
