Sputnik is too early--late 50s-- for the house. Maybe some sort of plain globe.

This entryway is very busy with all the small things on your walls and sorry, but your ceiling lights are dated and in need of a refresh. The Sputnik lights you mentioned are very detailed with all the different angles and would make this space look even more busy. I’d go for something simpler like a large minimal coach lantern pendant above the stairs. Some lanterns are just the framework and with no glass so that would work. For the other two lights I’d go for either a flush mount or a semi flush mount light that would go with the light above stairs. Let the chandelier be the star and the other two lights be less obvious. If you really really like the Sputnik style light, perhaps rethink what you have on your walls. Go for a few large pieces of art instead of a bunch of little things.

I get the “too busy”! I’ll look for some globe lights.

Select a shape that is simple and doesn't detract from the staircase light. I would have mounted the staircase light lower.

I would do a very simple flush mount that blended away, thus the "cool" light gets to take the cake.
