I am skeptical that they've made an engineered stone that is suitable for extertior use with the exception of the non-resinated types.

IMO the best material for outdoor kitchens is real stone it has 1000S of years of exposure to the elements .

Thank you for your input and I agree with you. The other options we have are Quartzite in light colored creams like Exclusive white, Zeus, Luna. Attached are the pics for these. I am reading few threads and some of the stone slabs are mentioning potential staining of light colored quartzite esp where resin is used to fill in. Any suggestions to avoid staining issue?

Ideally we would like mid tone gray quartzite or Granite with less movement, but can't seem to find any. We also want to stay away from black stone as they could get hot in uncovered area.

Thanks

Verbo:

The "Corian" Endura rated for exterior use in this capacity is porcelain and contains no acrylics or polyesters.

There is acrylic Corian suitable for building cladding, according to DuPont, its manufacurer. The critical difference between the two uses is that building cladding can be detailed for movement which in the case of an acrylic bar would simply self-destruct.

Corian sign; note the failed seam through the top letters.

After refinishing.

Any input regarding the light colored quartzite staining in uncovered area? Thanks
