We are building a mountain house and the architect recommended Nichiha Sierra Premium Shake siding. It looks like we will be facing some delays and obviously increased cost going with the premium product. While I am waiting for cost and delivery estimates, I was wondering if anyone has compared this product with the standard Nichi Straight Shingle. Does the final look warrant the additional cost/building time? Or how these products would compare with Hardi Shake. I really appreciate any insights!
