Show me your Cameo corian counters in a contemporary setting!

I'm redoing our kitchen and I really love Corian, despite current trends. I'd love to see what people have done. We're doing walnut custom cabinets and possibly a green backsplash with sherwin williams "Alabaster" to match the rest of our walls on the first floor. Thanks!

Friends of mine did their whole kitchen in glacier white corian including a waterfall island. So silky to the touch (no photos, not my house!)

Do not choose backspalsh before counter. As for the corian I dislike it but if you love it get a sample and bring it to your space in your lighting . IMO use all LED 4000K bulbs if white and walnut are the plan and I woudl not do green backspash but I need to see the space and the choices .On my screen that color looks yellow .

    I’ll
Have to look at those light bulbs. Good point to think about that as we are going to change some of our lighting. I know most designers don’t like corian. I’ve had quartz and I’m not a huge fan of that. I am worried the cameo will look too yellow. I think I am going to wait on the counters to be installed before buying the tile, though as it’s hard for me to imagine and I think it also looks different once installed.

I also love corian and am using it or another brand of solid surface in our kitchen and bath. Do you have samples of Cameo? i just brought home a bunch of samples, and found that the ones i was leaning towards from seeing pics online and looking at in the showroom, are not the best in my rooms. Whereas some that some that i only grabbed ‘just in case’/for comparison, are actually my favorites when viewed in my house/lighting.

Lightbulbs make a huge difference. 5000K LED Daylight is best in the bath for clear clean bright lighting, not too blue or yellow. I sell shades for an instant bath transformation and have tried many different types of bulbs but it REALLY can make a difference on how the color of the room is perceived. Especially on whites! So if you think your corian is too yellow, try the easiest switch by changing the bulbs first! This change in color on the shade is actually two different types of bulbs behind. (A little extreme in the photo vs in person - lights are hard to photograph)

Years ago I was a "ghost designer" on an HGTV show and we used Corian Clam Shell. I loved how it turned out and would recommend it often, but nobody was interested once quartz became popular.

Kristin Petro - yes, I do not understand that unless it is the upsell. I know styles cycle in and out but Corian to me stands the test of time. Love seeing an older bath that still has that integrated sink and beautiful white matte finish of Corian. It has now been around 50 years!

We just installed Corian Sahara in our kitchen. I bought a 12" square sample online and found the color worked really well with our floors. The installed product looks a bit different with a grayer undertone. I'd knew that you should see the slab first for real stone and even quartz but didn't realize it would be useful for Corian, too.

My parents have corian. It scratches like crazy, and they are very careful with their countertops. I prefer natural stone, when i touch my parents corian it just feels too plastic-y to me. Corian is the old version of the quartz trend now- man made materials. If you like it use it. that's all that matters. Meant to add, please please take a sample and test it out- dragging thing across it or dropping things such as keys or a fork, toys etc...
