Marble bathroom floor

Hello, looking for some advice regarding Herringbone Marble floor just installed. Does this look good ? There are scratches and shiny marks that dont look right to me. Trying to figure out if this is what it is supposed to look like? they laid it honed then polished it on lowest possible grade. Any thoughts on what went wrong here or am i being too fussy? The grout is also shiny from wher they polished it. Thank you

Are both pictures showing the same white "stain" or is it just the light bouncing off on the second picture? As for the scratches (though I can't spot them on the photos), the floor might've been like that before they installed it, perhaps due to improper storage...

Why would you do that? I would venture a guess that that is what caused all the scratches and the shiny grout. Never heard of polishing marble tile after installation.

Thank you . I have googled and it says you can polish or hone it after installing it. They said that they to use the machine after its laid to flatten it out the floor and then they can hone or polish it.

Very common to polish marble after its set as well as over its lifetime

Inexperienced tilers often attempt polishing in place with usually a 4" or 8*" grinder which is not the way to do it. (Usually to attempt to correct lippage and errors of ones own doing.)

Seek out A MARBLE RESTORATION EXPERT and try for compensation from the installer to cover the cost to make it right. Although at this point you may be hard pressed to find a marble restoration pro willing to get involved.
