kitchen countertop help

I need help picking a quartz countertop. The options are overwhelming. I would like something white, but maybe not stark white. We have medium wood stained maple shaker cabinets. No backsplash picked out yet. Pic below is not great lighting. 2nd pic is an inspiration photo of what I like. I believe that is ceasarstone frosty carina. Our flooring will be a grey ceramic tile. There will be an island same as rest of cabinets in the middle that is not installed yet, so the counter will be prominent.

Cambria Highgate is subtle and looks really good with wood.

I like Frosty Carina, and I also like London Gray, both Caesarstone. But you are correct in that there are SO many choices, so the best approach is to go to a store that sells the products and select a few samples to bring home and look at against your cabinets. That's the best way to see what it would look like in your room with your light.

Go look at real stone instaed of fake plastic. You need a ton more lighting before choosing anything . I see one center light that will never do for a kitchen .Show us your flooring for sure .

Stone choices will be confined to what is locally available, unless you are willing to order from a major manufacturer and wait months for it to be delivered. Start with visiting your chosen local fabricator’s production shop with a clear diagram of your kitchen layout in hand. Ask the office sales people about timelines for what is stocked vs anything that is ”quick ship”. Also view the shop, the samples of seams in the office, and how the quartz is stored—indoors.

If you have not chosen a fabricator yet, the visits should help you narrow down who to choose. Who does the job is more important than the material chosen for the job. There is no point in deciding on any online suggested color if your local fabricator has a 12 week lead time to obtain it. And there is no point in choosing a poor fabricator just becsuse they have a slab of a stone in stock that you selected before you ever selected a fabricator.

Choose a great fabricator, and follow their lead in choosing from what they suggest. Get the help of a designer if you still find those narrowed down choices overwhelming.

In your inspiration picture, I like the panel at the end of the island. It looks very nice instead of waterfall countertop.

Whatever you choose, please make sure to see a template of your counters before they cut them. If they won’t show you a template, find a different fabricator.

We recently remodeled our kitchen and we’re initially considering Frosty Carina. Ultimately, we made a different choice because I was concerned about mixing warm and cools tones in an attractive way, and with pure white cabinets and Cloe white backsplash in mind, decided I didn’t want to commit to the soft gray that would make the space overwhelmingly cool. We decided on a quartz at MSI called Blanca Statuarietto, which is a nice neutral white with some gray veining as well as small accents of beige in it. I feel it marries the warms and cool elements in our kitchen, and I love it! I’m glad I didn’t spend as much as we spent on a gray tone that would’ve locked us into a predominantly cooler palette. Here is an area that shows how the cool and warm tones work together. It’s a little hard to see the taupy/beige veins in the pic.
