Wow a little late to want to change the color, all the poly will need to be sanded off and then stain applied etc. Were you shown samples and you and hubby both agreed to no stain at first?

No stain. Looks beautiful.

What happened is we asked our contractor to have the floor people do a plank and send it to us (we live out of state) because we said we did not want blonde. He said the floor people did the whole thing and that it is beautiful and not "blonde", but "natural" wood. I think it's fine. We will see it in person in two weeks. He said they will do whatever we want. I suppose it it's a re-sand, that's what will happen. But, I have a feeling we will leave it as is.

I would ask them to fix the waves in the sanding.
