Is this coffee table too red/dark?

Im struggling with what coffee table to put & color scheme between the wood tones. i just ordered a walnut one but after the company sent real images of it Im not too sure about it anymore because it seems a bit too red (was hoping for a more golden dark brown). My style is more minimal, scandinavian (or japandi). Trying to keep colors neutral (meaning no bright greens/yellow/blue, etc).

Noted:

*Ignore christmas decor since that is temporary.

*The accent chair colors are going to be reupholstered to a taupe brown/beige, similar to floor colors. the wood around it is walnut veneer

*Feel free to suggest other accent colors/furniture (like what color side table?) however the white wall is blank for screen purposes for our projector

*the picture bench is birch wood with clear matte stain

Please see current living photos as well as photo of walnut table Im purchasing. if I do keep the walnut table, wondering if i need to change up the color scheme a little (see sample photos below).

Absolutely stunning! I think it could definitely work and the piece is beautiful. I do think a lighter wood would look nice as well so worst case if you don’t love it you can sand and re stain it!

Great style in this space. I think the table will work both style & color wise. I think the wood finishes in a space shouldn’t all be the same. A bit of tonal difference adds interest & makes the pieces look less ’manufactured’ because they have some individuality. I see touches of dark - sofa legs, island, dining chairs etc. so a darker toned wood mixed in with the lighter tones will look great. Especially in a central piece like coffee table. BTW, the suggestion of refinishing a brand new piece to change a color - well - I wouldn’t be able to do that unless it were a lesser cost RTA piece - which I don’t think this table is.

I have no clue what that wood is in the pics but this is walnut and it woulf for sure work in the space . I would leave the accent chairs as they are and maybe add mongolian sheep skin ove the backs since IMO you need some texture in the space and really fabulous rug is a must.

You were right in thinking you need a deep ,dark table for contrast Everything is so pale.. furniture, walls & fireplace. I agree the table has too much red in it & clashes. If you cant return it try lacquer in black . We did just that & its beautiful and unique. So common i see people pulling inspo photos but then changing colors & tones & ending up with a completely different feel. The Japandi photo has plenty of bold constrasts & warm neutrals... not a hint if grey

The table is too red and in general, the appearance looks............cheap. Select a wood that is more brown.
