Hello everyone, I'm afraid I've been feeling even more weak than usual and haven't been able to do or even really think much. I did just now post comments on two threads and actually went out and looked at the roses after quite some time. One I think is completely eaten, some are iffy and some actually have some nice new growth on them. I'm afraid growing the roses will be a bit of a challenge but I'm not giving up just yet. Thank you my friends for asking after me. We haven't had rain in quite a while but it's looking hopeful for Sunday and possibly Monday. The roses will love that!

Oh rats! I just realized that the rose that was eaten was Yves Piaget. I wonder if that little own-root band might by some miracle regenerate itself from underground. Hope springs eternal.

I just found out that a rare lilac, St. Joan, which was an infant lilac has disappeared. I fear a gopher took it down. It completely evaporated.

Sheila - drat. I'm so glad I don't get gophers. And your lilac was a rare one, too.

Ingrid - man, oh man!!! I'm in love with your bouquet!! What's the large pink one? Drat about your Yves Piaget. That's too nice of one for critters to get. I'm sorry you're still feeling so tired/exhausted. That's tough.
