replacing ceramic with LVP

We have ceramic tile in our kitchen and would like to replace with Luxury Vinyl Planks. We have been advised to NOT put over ceramic tile. They said if the grout cracks, it will make the vinyl lift. Has anyone put the vinyl over ceramic? Have you had any problems?
We can’t take the ceramic up because our cabinets were laid over top of it when we did our remodel.

Is you put it over the tile, you will have issues getting the dishwasher out unless you remove dishwasher and have the lvp also laid in that cutout.
