A tiny water leak forced me to tear out drywall. I decided to remove some ridiculously deep bathroom shelves and enlarge the shower from 34x34 to approx 52 x 39. bathroom has saltillo tile. Vanity ideas will come later.

As the photos show, the door opens to the left. The bathroom wall behind the door goes until the point where the shelves were located. The shelves and old shower were located about 3 inches, including saltillo grout, ”in” from the wall.

My question, would the design/placement of the shower (walk in, tiled, bracketed glass with either a glass door or no door) look better if I maintain that 3 inch inset/difference between the wall and the existing saltillo tile or would the shower look better if i cut that 3 inches off the saltillo and made the shower flush with the wall all the way to the end wall?
