I think there are better woven natural pendants. More important is the light within adequate for your needs? One or two? : ) What is the size, width and height, relative to your peninsula and your ceiling height? ......We don't know the answer to these things. Do you? : )

Show your entire space. What's the pink, and red in your photo?? What are you going for...etc?

If the cane was painted all black I would feel it would match your kitchen style better.

First glance, it looks too casual, and the color is a bit bright which makes it look a little comical? If it was stained darker might fit better but overall it doesn't look like it was meant for a kitchen bar.

I think a lamp with this shade could be fine with what I see of your style. I’m guessing you like boho and an eclectic mix of decor?
