There are a lot of different ways to arrange pillows and if you like it I'm sure it's fine. Can you post a picture of what you have? It would help to know what your headboard looks like and what your style is. Here are some pictures from people who styled their beds without Euro shams.

Nothing about a pile of pillows on a bed makes sense to me. Beds with many different size decorative pillows, beautiful and expensive and fragile, make me shudder. If I am a guest, where am I supposed to pile those? Is there a clean, logical space to put them so I don’t step on them in the middle of the night? If I put them on a flat surface, where I am I supposed to put my things? If this is my personal bedroom, why do I want to fuss with six or eight pillows every night and rearrange them artistically every morning? I arrange our bedroom to make the two of us cozy and comfortable,

I don’t have any pics yet. I typically just do my two king sleeping pillows with two king sham pillows in front and a lumbar pillow in front of that. Simple, easy. However, the new quilt I have coming only offers shams in euro or standard!!! Ughhh

Here’s a pic of my bed with only two standard pillow shams being used. Due to the height of my lumbar pillow, I feel euro shams might be too much in height
