I think a single piece on the back wall would be nice to see from the doorway. If the towel bar conflicts and you aren't particular about how your towels are hung, you might consider tucking some robe hooks for your towels to the left of the shower. Behind where I've marked the Xs...

I like your ideas of blinds and plants, and sheloveslayouts idea for art placement. Here are a couple of other ideas. I like this look of cafe curtains, and the way the light is filtered through the white linen.

If you’re concerned about caring for plants, a small grouping of nature prints above the bath faucet wall would be lovely to gaze at while soaking. A larger print that complements the grouping on the end wall that sheloveslayout suggested would look calm and cohesive.
