Main bath layout/update

We plan a main bath remodel in 2023 and are in the planning stages. We hope for ideas to better utilize the space. Footprint cannot change. We do not want a bathtub and specifically need ideas for that space. The large window over the existing tub faces the front of the house and cannot be modified. And, we don’t want the shower to be in front of the window. We want to update (enlarge?) the shower, maintain a double sink vanity, and keep a water closet. Linen closet can be eliminated provided lots of other storage. Thanks for your input, it is very much appreciated.

The easiest /best thing to do seems to be:

- Keep the shower and toilet in their current positions, but remove the linen closet /give more space to the shower especially. Lose the indent that places the two doors at angles.

- Remove the tub and place a small window seat in its spot /under the window ... consider a drawer or an empty space for a hamper under the window seat.

- Make the vanity longer, paying special attention to adding drawers at the sink.

- Add a linen tower on the sink wall to make up for the loss of the linen closet.

I understand why this particular tub makes you want to get rid of tubs altogether. It must be impossible to enter safely!
