Eenie Weenie Is really nice Sherry, "very re-markable". Entwined in the Vine is lovely.

El Desperado never fails. The terrible heat and drought affected the foliage but not the flowers.

Sherry, that is quite the remarkable joke.

David, Extra Bold is nice, as is Elegant Candy.

Egyptian Ibis is possibly the best E here. Blooms well and reliably, very pretty. Reliable Munson. Does polly blooms every year, several times. Last year had both a 4 and a 6.

Elegant Candy. Blooms well and very long. I too got rid of most of my candies. I have one other that I kept is a bad spot just to fill the space.

Elizabeth Salter is reliable and some years a bloom machine.

Emperor Butterfly. A reliable Munson again.

Ethiopia. Another reliable Munson. I don't recall ever doing anything with this one. Plenty of plants and blooms every year, have never split it.

A striking clump of El Desperado! I still have Elegant Candy and Awesome Candy. Oh, Orchid Candy too. One can't go wrong with Elegant Candy.

Egyptian Ibis has an attractive yellow throat. Emperor Butterfly has what I suppose one would call a classic Munson washed eyezone.

Elizabeth Peacock has been a good grower with rich color.

Electric Ladyland has good height and grows well.

Edward Abbey has an eye-catching deep color. Plant height, like that of parent Arrogant Bastard, is lower than registered.

Exotic Starfish has a startling bloom. I have not had it in a clump long enough to evaluate scape-to-bloom ratio. This past year, it had fewer scapes, but that was after division. Vigorous.

Echo Beach is a good grower. Lovely coloration.

Eyes Right Jones I snuck in because I like it a lot, but don't see it offered much.

Eye on a String - This one used to always rebloom, but it's in too much shade now. It does still put on a pretty good show despite getting less than five hours of sun a day.

I have very few 'E's. I used to have a clump shot of EARLY DAYS but can't find it so you'll have to trust me that it makes a magnificent clump. And true to it's name, it blooms early and keeps going for a long time.

ENIGMA CODE, a nice Hanson that blooms fairly late here and is vigorous and hardy

ERIN LEA, I don't grow very many yellows so those that I do grow have to be good performers and this one is just that. Nice bright color seen across the garden; great plant habits

EMILY DICKINSON, a pretty pink diploid that never disappoints. Always in bloom, healthy and hardy as a rock.

ENTWINED IN THE VINE, already shown but it made my top 5 and it's so pretty I had to show 2 poses since it looks slightly different from first bloom to last.

BTW, Mantis....if you ever consider selling a couple of fans of Electric Ladyland I have been trying to obtain that one but it's always sold out!

Celeste, I would not describe Electric Ladyland as rose red, but rather a bright rose (as Curt now describes it). Unlike many recent Hansons, its height is in the mid-thirties. Not sure about the ""electric," but it seems vigorous, so people must be sitting on plants. I didn't get mine in the first tranche of plants sold.

A vigorous one that should be mentioned is Early Shirley. I like early ones because it's such a long wait for the first ones. A floriferous, large-flowered background plant.

And Gossard's Eye of Truth is a showy vigorous one too.

We do have a lot of the same Es, it appears!

Mantis - I see Celeste mentioned your photo of Electric Ladyland But I don't see your post with it on this thread. Did it just disappear?

Celeste - I really like the bright pink color of Emily Dickinson. I don't remember seeing that one before.

Electric Ladyland was in my original post here and still is as far as I can tell.

Ethereal Sky Color is too new to recommend, but the color is clearer than that of parent Crystal Castles.

Others worth considering are Every Which Way and Loose (if you like doubles) and the older Etched Eyes, one of the first to bloom and which is pleasing almost every year, even though it doesn't like mid-day heat (which we usually don't have that time of year). It may be marginal farther north.

Here it is this past year with Green Mystique.

Mantis - Thanks for the second photo of Electric Ladyland. I've been interested in that one since it was introduced. The color on Ethereal Sky Color looks fantastic. How would you compare its color to Chateau Belair? It's so strange that you can see your first post. and I can't

I can't comment on the plant habit of Ethereal SC (first year). Its color is a clear lavender, part of Hanson's obsessive quest for purity in that color. Chateau Belair has a bit more orchid tones; it is described as "lilac." I hope that the plant habit of Ethereal is taller than that of Chateau (though at the estate, Chateau is taller than at my residence).

El Shaddai is one I would recommend with some notations. Its blooms are less cookie cutter than those of many cultivars, and it is a bit on the short side.

Escape Into Fantasy I would recommend. It is heavy blooming, out of Point of Divergence.

And I didn't realize that I had missed Existential Avatar. Vigorous and well budded. A bit of a space hog.

Exotic Starfish is my favorite of the whole group. We added last season and can't wait to see it bloom. I also like Existential Avatar (it's a beautiful bitone), Evening Eyeshadow and Electric Ladyland.

I have only two to contribute.

Empire of Dawn and Dusk is a good grower with wonderful color. It's petal color is very close to pure white and it is a great color clarifier.

Explosion in the Paint Factory looks different every day. It's a late bloomer.

Entwined in the Vine, I think I lost it last year after the drought. This area by my sidewalk had some kind of issues, and it is where I put my favorites so they can be watered and keep an eye on them. Did not help for them this year.

Exotic Starfish has not done as well here, but it had to be moved twice. Hopefully this year will see some improvement
