If you could have any of these four sofas, which would be your first choice?

I like number 1, but for my current décor, I'd have to pick #2 to fit more with my home.

Either 1 or 3. I love the color and design of 3, but I wonder if I'd miss it having arms (I lie down on our sofa a lot, and use the arms to prop pillows). Number 2 is a bit fussy for me, and 4 is too light in color (we have elementary-aged kids).

None of them for me and I think that it could be the colors...

2, the lack of cushions on the back means it won't look slumpy too quickly, and the arms make it a more usable sofa.

I would pick #4 it looks comfee. I'm in the process of redoing my livingroom and bought black leather loveseat. And black leather recliner for hubby who has dementia and l want him to be comfee. Will be calling for help on what to reupholster my wing back chair and assessories.

2 or 4 depending on the intended use of the room. 3 looks horribly ugly and uncomfortable and I hate furniture without arms to rest my own arms on and hug me in. 1 looks like it should be in an uncomfortable doctor's office......just sayin'

I think number 2 can be used in pretty much any decorating scheme depending on the fabric. It would be my favorite in linen or leather. Even a nice micro suede or colorful velvet.

3 with arms…because I think one cushion seating is the most versatile.

    #1 .
I don't like the really high arms of #2 - or the no arms of #3. I like the overall shape of #4 - but don't like slipcovers!

You all have great input here! It is interesting to hear so many different opinions!!! Many of you seem to prefer function over form, while others prefer the opposite.

I personally love option #2. But maybe in a different fabric upholstery. Love the shape though!

Studio M Interior Design, #2 is actually in fabric. Isn't it gorgeous?

#4 looks the most comfortable for a informal area. Also like #1 for a more transitional look.

#4 without a doubt. I don't like how legs stick out on #1. I don't like the high arms on #2. I don't like the missing arms on #3. #4 is perfect.

Hmmmm ok so out of the four options I like the shape of number 4 but Do Not like slip covers. I would 100 percent choose it if it was upholstered
  • 9 years ago
2 is elegant, but 4 is more comfortable and more versatile.

    #4!

I like n.1 but splayed legs look too much like Bambi on ice sometimes.

I like 1 and 3. Armless is good for conversation areas but not so great for everyday sitting. I would choose #1 for that.
