You mean you are the landlord? Is this a short-term rental or long-term?

It depends on the dimensions of the space and the table dimensions. If short-term, might be a good place to add the dishes in the hutch so the table can be set easily.

Because of the angle the picture was taken from I can't tell how much space is left after the table, but you have full length windows there. If there is a view I would put some sort of seating there.

IMO take the clock to the dump they are never decor items and add a great piece of art with some color.. A credenza with some storage always a good plan.

Very nice room! You could add two club chairs and a table with a lamp on it at the far end. Or a credenza with storage. (FWIW I like the clock and wouldn't take it to the dump.)

Thank you for your ideas. This is my friends rental property. We really like the clock so it’s not going anywhere. The view is of the lake which is absolutely beautiful. I will take more pictures and get the dimensions when we are back at the cottage.

A huge clock to stare at on vacation????? Think about that. If you want the best advice, you're not going to get it unless you show all photos from all four sides showing all windows and doors, dimensions, information about current furnishings, use of that particular room. Does that dining set belong to the owner? Is this supposed to be a living room as well?

I think the lake view will take precedence over the "huge clock." So what if you're on vacation--you never need to be aware of the time? And anyway, it's very sculptural and the hands are fairly light so it's not like a huge digital clock in a train station.
