Countertop/backsplash with walnut

Hi I am doing a complete kitchen remodel on an open concept home Despite high ceilings and an adjoining two story great room with lots of windows, the kitchen doesn't get much light So... I have opted for white shaker style cabinets The island, however, will be natural walnut which my husband and I love. Suggestions for the counter and backsplash?
