We are almost done with our new addition, off the back we have 10’ wide 8’ tall La Cantina bi-fold doors. When we bought the doors we ordered a S4 Centor Single screen that they sell with it. We were told it would be integrated with the door and in the door jam. Fast forward to the end of the project and the drywall is up and trim is on door and it looks like our contractor did not integrate the screen, we also see now that this would have needed to be considered in framing.

It seems like he expected to add it to the outside of the door frame’s trim (which is not what we wanted) and to make it worse the trim is white and the frame for the screen is bronze.

What should we do?

1. fur out the wall and embed the screen
2. just accept it his and added to to the outside of the door frame and find out if we can paint it to match trim?
3. something else?

We are so bummed this was THE big feature of our entire project.
