HELP! Big furniture? Little furniture? Nook, benches, sofa? We have been working on this 750 sq ft 4-room shotgun this summer and now I need to add furniture. We've gone from nothing to livable and don't want to put a lot of money into furnishing this vacation home. It's a typical shot gun with two bedrooms. The main entry is on the side of the house into the third room. This room is 13x15. It has entry door and door leading to the bedroom on one wall. We put a sliding barn door to the bedroom to save space. The second wall has two full windows centered on the wall that take up about half the wall space. The third wall has a doorway leading to the kitchen. The fourth wall has a centered door with a sliding barn-style door to the bathroom. I need this room to function as a the main entry of the house as well as main living room. This room must also have dining space for four. There is absolutely no space in kitchen for dine in. The kitchen - as is typical of this age house - was built from the old porch and is 9x13 and houses the washer and dryer as well as kitchen appliances.
